Teachers and administrators are learners. Personalizing our campus and district professional development is critical to maximizing our efforts for our students. Teachers all start at different places and learn in many different ways. Just like students, Hays professionals will benefit from a PD structure that is personalized, individualized, and self-paced. Personalized PD allows us to honor our educators, personalize plans based on choice and need, and ultimately energize our profession so that we can focus our energy on where it is most needed: Hays students.

Mandy Taylor was a classroom teacher for 17 years in grades K-3 and an Instructional Coach for three years. Currently, she is a Literacy Specialist supporting K-5 teachers. She has served as the co-director of the Central Texas Writing Project.
